Grand Central Station
The work in this series centers on candid images of ordinary people, exploring the subtle tensions between intimacy and distance that define contemporary life. I am drawn to quiet gestures—posture, gaze, fleeting expressions—that reveal the interior worlds we carry as we move through public spaces. Working primarily in acrylic on wood panel, I build layered surfaces that ask viewers to contemplate the complexity of another person’s presence. The paintings in this series are interpretations of photos I made at the Grand Central Station Dining Concourse in NYC.
